Mr. Matt Dempsey ’96 joined the Catholic High faculty in 2002-2004 and then again in the 2010-2011 school year. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Arkansas in Computer Information Systems and Industrial Management. He then received his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas Law School. While teaching at Catholic High, he earned his Masters in Teaching from the University of Arkansas Monticello in May 2012.
From 2004 – 2005, Mr. Dempsey worked at Haas Hall Academy Charter School serving as chair of the Math Department, and taught geometry, trigonometry, communications, and physical education. Prior to joining Catholic High, he worked as an attorney for Kutak Rock, LLP and then in the Pulaski County Prosecutor’s Office.
Mr. Dempsey became Assistant Principal in 2011-2012 school year. In this role as Assistant Principal, he serves as the dean of students and the director of Curriculum. In addition to his administrative duties, he teaches Algebra II, Geometry, Computer Science and Religion. Mr. Dempsey is also the Mock Trial sponsor.
