Coach Kenny Stephens joined the Catholic High faculty in the 2023-2024 school year. Coach Stephens earned his Associate of Arts from Pulaski Technical College in 2002 and his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Arkansas in 2006. In 2017, he earned his Masters of Science in Education Leadership from Arkansas State University. After an eight year career in Law Enforcement, Coach Stephens began his coaching career in 2007, at Parkview High School. He served as the Social Studies department chair and taught a variety of subjects. He became an assistant football coach at Central High School in 2010. He was the interim Head Football coach at Parkview in 2016, and became Assistant Principal/Athletic Director in 2021. In addition to teaching World History and American History, he is an assistant football coach for the Rockets.
Growing up with an older brother that went to Catholic High, I knew I wanted to be a part of what he always referred to as “The Brotherhood.” I love that I’m able to explore so many of my interests, from joining Broadcast Journalism and JROTC my freshman year to becoming president of the drama club as a junior. As I get ready for college in two short years, I’m thankful for the opportunities I’ve been given at Catholic High that will help me stand out in the application process.
