Come enjoy a fun evening and see our school play, See How They Run, April 28 – April 30.
See How They Run is set in the idyllic village of Merton-cum-Middlewick, England, during the 1940s. It’s World War II, and the village inhabitants are preparing themselves for the imminent threat of Nazi invasion. But at the local vicarage, home of Rev. Lionel and Penelope Toop, there’s a different kind of mayhem…the hilarious kind! Galloping in and out of the vicarage are Miss Skillon, the resident spinster who is jealous of the vicar’s new American wife; Penelope’s uncle, the Bishop of Lax, who has come to pay a call; Corporal Clive Winton, a handsome American friend of Penelope’s who is stationed at the air base; Humphrey, a visiting vicar who arrives to take the Sunday services; Ida, the cockney maid, who sees all but knows nothing; and escaped Russian prisoner of war; and finally, the local policeman, Sgt. Towers, who tries to figure out exactly “Who’s the vicar ‘ere?”
