Congratulations to Richard Cochran ’91, who makes history as the first Catholic High alumnus to be named Head Coach! Coach Cochran has been a part of the Rocket coaching staff for 24 years, serving as Defensive Coordinator for the past 14 years. Not only has he been a mentor on the field during his 28 football seasons as a high school coach, but also has been a stellar teacher in the classroom. Coach Cochran is known for his passion for literature, teaching 11th and 12th
grade American and British Literature, along with World Religions. He is also the creator of the school’s Themes in Literature course, a concurrent credit class offered in partnership with UA – Little Rock. His leadership in the classroom and on the field is on display daily.
