Dr. Jennifer Gilley joined the Catholic High faculty in the 2015-2016 school year. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Hendrix College in Biology. She went on to get her Ph.D. from the University of Texas Southwestern School of Bio Medical Sciences in Genetics and Development. Prior to joining Catholic High, Dr. Gilley spent five years teaching Biology and Microbiology at the collegiate level. She now has 10 years of teaching experience, and is the Chair of the Science department at Catholic High School. Dr. Gilley teaches Biology and Honors Biology as well as Anatomy and Physiology. She also sponsors the Marine Biology club.
Growing up with an older brother that went to Catholic High, I knew I wanted to be a part of what he always referred to as “The Brotherhood.” I love that I’m able to explore so many of my interests, from joining Broadcast Journalism and JROTC my freshman year to becoming president of the drama club as a junior. As I get ready for college in two short years, I’m thankful for the opportunities I’ve been given at Catholic High that will help me stand out in the application process.
